Work Activity Center...
The Work Activity Center is made up of 20 multi-handicapped men and women. Most of the employees in the Work Activity Center work five days per week, while a few work two or three days per week. All of the employees are paid according to a piece rate. Several of the jobs they work on consist of light assembly and sorting. Some of these jobs include:
- Turn cuffs and collars for Flight Deck Jerseys
- Assembling boxes for the workshop
- Turning, folding, and attaching tongs to the Flyer’s Kit Bags
- Folding mattress pads
- Folding informational brochures and fundraising Materials
- Sealing, sorting and applying address labels to mail Solicitations
- Shredding and bagging of office papers
